Data & ML Engineer

About the Role

As a Data & ML Engineer at Naveera, you'll build the data and machine learning infrastructure that powers intelligent routing, safety insights, and operational analytics. From data pipelines and schemas to deployed models and monitoring, you'll turn raw telematics and fleet data into actionable insights that help NEMT providers run better operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store telematics and fleet data
• Develop ML models for route optimization, ETA prediction, and safety scoring
• Create data schemas and warehouse structures for analytics and reporting
• Deploy and monitor ML models in production, with A/B testing and evaluation
• Collaborate with product and operations to identify high-impact ML opportunities

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or ML engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience building data pipelines (Airflow, dbt, etc.)
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
• Understanding of feature engineering, model evaluation, and deployment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with geospatial data and routing/logistics problems
• Background in time-series forecasting or anomaly detection
• Familiarity with real-time ML inference and streaming data
• Previous work in transportation, logistics, or fleet management
