DevOps QA Engineer

About the Role

As a DevOps QA Engineer at Naveera, you'll own quality and reliability across our infrastructure, deployment workflows, and platform operations. You will test and validate the systems that power our environments, including infrastructure as code, Kubernetes workloads, CI/CD pipelines, cloud configuration, and release processes. This role is ideal for someone who understands how modern infrastructure is built and deployed, can think through failure modes before they happen, and can build strong testing and validation practices around DevOps systems.

Responsibilities

• Own quality across infrastructure, platform operations, and deployment workflows
• Design, execute, and maintain test plans for infrastructure changes, Kubernetes workloads, cloud environments, and CI/CD pipelines
• Validate infrastructure as code changes, deployment behavior, rollback safety, environment consistency, and release readiness
• Test Kubernetes-based services for configuration correctness, scaling behavior, networking, secrets handling, health checks, and failure recovery
• Verify Terraform changes across environments and ensure infrastructure updates are safe, repeatable, and production-ready
• Work closely with DevOps and engineering teams to reproduce issues, isolate root causes, and validate fixes before rollout
• Build and maintain automated checks for infrastructure reliability, deployment validation, environment drift, and operational regressions
• Create clear bug reports and validation records with reproduction steps, expected behavior, actual behavior, and severity assessment
• Support release confidence through smoke testing, regression testing, environment verification, and post-deploy validation
• Help define QA processes, test standards, and quality gates for infrastructure and platform changes
• Review systems with an operational mindset, identifying weak points in reliability, security posture, observability, and deployment safety
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test infrastructure, CI-based validation, and platform quality practices

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in QA, quality engineering, DevOps testing, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure-focused validation roles
• Experience testing infrastructure, deployment systems, or cloud-based platform environments
• Working understanding of Terraform and ability to validate infrastructure as code changes effectively
• Working understanding of Kubernetes and ability to test workload behavior, deployment health, and cluster-level configuration
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and validating build, test, deploy, rollback, and release workflows
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or ability to quickly work within OCI-based environments
• Strong understanding of regression testing, exploratory testing, test case design, and defect reporting for platform systems
• Ability to think through operational edge cases including failed deploys, config drift, service instability, secret issues, and environment inconsistencies
• Experience using testing, scripting, or debugging tools to validate infrastructure and operational workflows
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with DevOps and engineering teams to drive issues to resolution

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in production environments
• Experience validating Kubernetes networking, ingress, storage, autoscaling, and workload resilience
• Experience testing Terraform modules, environment promotion workflows, and infrastructure drift scenarios
• Familiarity with Docker, Helm, and infrastructure-related tooling used in cloud-native environments
• Experience with observability and validation tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, Datadog, or similar
• Experience testing secrets management, IAM, access control, and environment configuration in deployment workflows
• Experience building automated checks around platform health, deployment safety, and operational readiness
• Experience working in fast-moving startup environments where infrastructure and product systems evolve quickly
