Fleet Operations Strategist (Analytics & Advisory)

SalesFull-time

About the Role

As a Fleet Operations Strategist (Analytics & Advisory) at Naveera, you'll be the domain expert who translates real fleet pain into measurable performance improvements. You'll analyze aggregated data across routing, GPS, telematics, client feedback, and billing to diagnose bottlenecks (late zones, deadhead, overloaded windows, low-margin payers, driver constraints) and deliver clear, high-impact recommendations. You'll run a consulting-style cadence with fleets — documenting actions, tracking impact, and producing leadership-ready summaries (CSV/PDF/slide-ready) that prove ROI.

Responsibilities

  • Own the operational analytics layer for Signature customers: identify root causes behind on-time performance, utilization, safety events, and revenue leakage
  • Define and refine KPI frameworks (revenue per mile/hour, deadhead vs revenue miles, capacity usage, cost per trip, cancellation/no-show impacts) and ensure metrics are trusted
  • Detect and explain operational pain patterns: late zones, overloaded pickup windows, chronic delays, inefficient zone design, under/over-staffing, and low-margin payer mix
  • Turn insights into action: write recommendations, prioritize initiatives, and translate changes into dispatch workflows, scheduling policies, driver coaching, and payer/rate strategies
  • Run a structured advisory cadence with customers (weekly ops reviews, monthly exec summaries, QBR-ready narratives) and maintain a clear action register
  • Track impact of recommendations using before/after analyses, control periods, and KPI deltas; report outcomes with credibility
  • Collaborate with Product and Data teams to improve automated pain-point detection (alerts, thresholds, anomaly detection) and ensure outputs are operationally meaningful
  • Build and maintain consultant workspaces: documentation, status tracking, decision logs, and measured outcomes across accounts
  • Create exportable insight packs for leadership: CSV exports, PDF briefings, and slide-ready summaries that are concise and decision-oriented
  • Contribute to benchmarks and anonymized insights (optional Vision Data Platform participation) while maintaining privacy, governance, and customer trust

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years in fleet operations, dispatch, routing, transportation logistics, or NEMT operations with direct responsibility for performance outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose operational bottlenecks using data (not just intuition) and drive measurable improvements
  • Strong fluency in core fleet KPIs and unit economics: utilization, deadhead, on-time performance, revenue per mile/hour, capacity planning, and payer/margin dynamics
  • Comfort working with BI dashboards and exports (CSV) to perform structured analysis; able to sanity-check metric definitions and data quality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication: can explain complex operational issues clearly to dispatchers and executives
  • High ownership and consultative leadership: can run meetings, drive decisions, and keep action plans moving without hand-holding
  • Able to work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Implementation, Product, and Data teams to close the loop from insight → product improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in NEMT, paratransit, Medicaid/Medicare transportation, or broker-driven transportation networks
  • Experience running a consulting cadence (QBRs, exec briefings, impact tracking) or operating as an internal ops analyst/strategist
  • Familiarity with routing/scheduling systems, dispatch workflows, and constraints (appointment windows, staging, driver breaks, vehicle types, compliance)
  • Experience with operational experimentation (A/B style comparisons, holdout periods, pilot design) and change management in fleet teams
  • Basic SQL literacy or willingness to learn (enough to validate metrics and ask the right questions of data teams)
  • Experience defining alert thresholds/anomaly detection for ops metrics (late-zone detection, overload detection, margin leakage flags)
  • Background building playbooks and SOPs that teams actually adopt (dispatch rules, zone policies, exception handling)
