Logistics Operations Coordinator

About the Role

Naveera is supporting a client in the transportation and logistics industry with the recruitment of a dependable and organized Logistics Operations Coordinator.

This position is ideal for someone who communicates confidently, works well in a fast-paced environment, and can coordinate multiple time-sensitive activities. The selected candidate will support daily transportation operations, communicate with drivers and customers, monitor active loads, and help ensure that schedules and service commitments are met.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transportation schedules, routes, pickups, and deliveries
• Communicate with drivers regarding assignments, schedules, locations, and operational updates
• Monitor active loads and track pickup and delivery progress
• Provide customers and internal teams with timely and professional status updates
• Respond to delays, route changes, scheduling conflicts, and other operational issues
• Maintain accurate records of assignments, delivery details, communications, and completed work
• Confirm availability and gather the information needed to coordinate daily operations
• Work with drivers, customers, brokers, and internal team members to resolve issues efficiently
• Escalate urgent concerns to the appropriate manager
• Support reporting, documentation, and other administrative tasks as required
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling company and customer information

Required Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization, time-management, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable managing phone calls, messages, schedules, and multiple priorities
• Basic proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and web-based business systems
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow established procedures
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, customer service, scheduling, or operations coordination
• Familiarity with transportation management, load-tracking, mapping, or customer relationship systems
• Experience communicating with drivers, customers, brokers, or service providers
• Knowledge of transportation terminology and standard operating practices
• Bilingual communication skills are an advantage
